Lesson Detail
The Lesson
At the top of the GembaDocs dashboard, you’ll see three tabs: Standard Ops, Kanban, and Skills.
These are how you move between the main areas of the platform. The layout is the same whether you’re on the web version or the mobile app.
The Create New button sits alongside the tabs. Use it to create new documents depending on which area you’re working in.
The search bar is one of the most useful features in the dashboard.
You can search by:
You can also sort results by newest, oldest, or other criteria, and filter by creator, tags, review dates, and tracked tasks.
If you’re using tags to categorize your SOPs, filtering by tag lets you get to the right content fast.
The analytics section shows you what’s happening across your account.
You can see what’s been created or updated, filter by date range, and export the data. This is particularly useful at the start of your SOP journey when you’re tracking how quickly the team is building out the system.
If tracking is enabled, you can also access the audit history – giving you a clear record of how tasks are being completed.
You can organize your SOPs using folders and subfolders.
If you have a folder structure you use most often, you can set it as your default dashboard view. That means every time you log in, you land exactly where you need to be.
Using the three dots menu, you can switch between list and grid view depending on how you prefer to browse your documents.
From the same menu, you can also:
Bulk editing makes it straightforward to clean up or standardize your document system without going one by one.
The Kanban tab works the same way as the SOPs tab. You can search, sort, and filter your cards, and view analytics specific to Kanban.
From the three dots menu, you can:
You can also customize how labels appear on each card, so the layout works for your team.
The Skills tab is an optional add-on module.
From here, you can:
Everything in the Skills tab sits within the same dashboard, so you’re not jumping between different systems to manage your people and your processes.
