Step 1 - 4th Gen 4Runner Rear Window MOLLE Install

Description

Step by step on how to install the Victory 4x4 Rear Window MOLLE Panel (EDC) on a 2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner. The panel fits the driver or passenger side and is sold individually. Not compatible with 3rd row models. No drilling required. Please read all steps carefully before starting the install. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, 10mm socket, 5/32" hex and a 7/16" wrench.

Step 2 - Included Parts & Hardware

Description

Check that you have all of the parts and hardware shown before starting. Hardware pack: 046-0026 (every bolt, nut and washer is listed in the bill of materials picture).

Step 3 - Remove the Phillips Screw

Description

Remove the Phillips screw from the trim panel. This factory screw is not reused.

Step 4 - Remove the 10mm Bolts

Description

Remove the two 10mm bolts from the trim with a 10mm socket.

Step 5 - Pop the Trim Clips Loose

Description

Use a flat head screwdriver to pop the trim clips loose.

Step 6 - Remove the Grab Handle Screw

Description

Take out the screw on the grab handle. This screw is reused to hold the top mount, so keep it.

Step 7 - Install the Top Mount

Description

Use the top mount for your model year: 2003-2005 or 2006-2009. Set the factory hanger over the top of the mount, push the grab handle screw through the mount and loosely install it.

Step 8 - Install the Front Bottom Mount

Description

Install the front bottom mount with a 55mm M6 button head bolt and washer, open end toward the rear of the vehicle. The hole is offset, so rotate the mount until it fits without hitting the trim. Tighten with a 5/32" hex.

Step 9 - Install the Rear Bottom Mount

Description

Install the rear bottom mount the same way with the other 55mm M6 bolt and washer, open end toward the front of the vehicle. Tighten with a 5/32" hex.

Step 10 - Mount the Panel to the Top Mount

Description

Hold the panel with the Victory logo toward the back of the vehicle. Loosely bolt it to the top mount with 1/4"-20 button head bolts and washers, with the flange nuts on the back. Start one bolt at a time.

Step 11 - Bolt the Panel to the Bottom Mounts

Description

Loosely bolt the bottom of the panel to the front and rear mounts with 1/4"-20 button head bolts, washers and flange nuts on the back.

Step 12 - Adjust and Tighten the Panel

Description

Position the panel so it does not touch the plastic trim and the gaps are even across the top. Tighten the top bolts, pull down on the panel to line it up, then tighten the bottom bolts with a 5/32" hex and 7/16" wrench.

Step 13 - Final Check

Description

Make sure all hardware is tight and the panel does not rattle. Repeat on the other side if you have a second panel.
