Included Parts: 1-Main Rail (Front) (x2), 2-Main Rail (Rear) (x2), 3-Accent Plate (Front) (x2), 4-Accent Plate (Rear) (x2), 5-Side Rail Cleat (x2), 6-Front Fairing, 7-Front Fairing Filler Plate, 8-Rear Fairing, 9-Cross Bars (8), 10-Front Mounts (L&R), 11-Front Mid Mounts (a (x2) & b (x2)), 12-Rear Mid Mounts (L&R), 13-Rear Mounts (2)
Assemble a mirrored left and right side rail assembly using (6) of the black 1/4"-20 x 1" button heads, washers, and flange nuts as shown in the photo above. The left side rail is pictured in this example.
Using the black 1/4"-20 x 3/4" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the side rails together in the remaining holes
underneath the cross bar slots
(as shown).
Fasten the cross bars between the side rail assemblies using the 1/4"-20 x 3/4" button heads and washers. NOTE: Make sure the milled slots (circled above) in the cross bars are facing up, and oriented on the side of the vehicle that you prefer.
NOTE: At the cross bar running thru the side rail joint you assembled in step 2, use the (2) of the longer 1/4"-20 x 1" button heads.
Flip the rack over so the bottom is facing up. Using two of the black 1/4"-20 x 1" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the rear mount in the upmost position. Snug the bolts by hand for now so they hold.
Using two of the black 1/4"-20 x 1" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the rear middle mount (GX55 RM) in the upmost position. Snug the bolts by hand for now so they hold. NOTE: Be sure that the arrow is pointed to the front of the roof rack.
Using two of the black 1/4"-20 x 1" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the
L-SHAPED
front middle mount (GX55 FM) in the upmost position. Snug the bolts by hand for now so they hold.
Using two of the supplied rubber bumpers, rotate and push them into the front mount as shown above. Then, using two of the black 1/4"-20 x 1" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the front mount in the upmost position. Snug the bolts by hand for now so they hold.
NOTE: Be sure that the arrow is pointed to the front of the roof rack.
Using four of the black 1/4"-20 x 3/4" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, assemble the front fairing in your desired configuration. If you are running a light bar, you will want to Leave the filler panel uninstalled.
Push the supplied edge trim on the bottom edge of the front fairing as shown. You want this trim to go just past the points on both sides of the front fairing. Cut off the excess to use on the rear fairing (you should have about 8" remaining).
Using six of the 1/4"-20 x 3/4" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the front fairing to the rack with it adjusted all the way up. Snug by hand in this position so it holds for now.
Take your remaining edge trim from step 10 and cut it directly in half. With two identical (~4") pieces, position them on the rear fairing as shown. Starting at 1" outside of the points and pointing inwards.
Using four of the 1/4"-20 x 3/4" button heads, washers, and flange nuts, fasten the rear fairing to the rack with it adjusted all the way up. Snug by hand in this position so it holds for now.
Temporarily install the elevator bolts, and flanged nylock nuts through the Z-Shaped Front Mid Mount (GX55 FM) as shown. Finger tight is good for now.
Remove the factory rack/roof rails/drip rail trim to prepare for installation. A video aid can be found for this procedure on the product page.
Use silicone RTV to
surround AND fill
each of the (4) mounting holes for the FRONT MID MOUNTS (These are the first set of holes toward the front of the vehicle). Be liberal with the RTV, you cant use too much. We recommend surrounding each hole with 2-3 passes of sealant, and then "filling" the threaded holes as well. Threading the fasteners thru the sealant ensures it is totally water tight.
Install the lower Front Mid Mounts to the vehicle
loosely
in the orientation shown above using the M8 bolts and washers. The mount should be pointing in toward the center of the vehicle as shown.
Remove the 5/16 nuts from the elevator bolts. The head of the elevator bolts should drop down and rest on the roof of the vehicle. Protect the paint with a rag or painters tape if you prefer.
Use silicone RTV to
surround AND fill
each of the (8) mounting holes for the REAR MID MOUNTS and the REAR MOUNTS. Be liberal with the RTV, you cant use too much. We recommend surrounding each hole with 2-3 passes of sealant, and then "filling" the threaded holes as well. Threading the fasteners thru the sealant ensures it is totally water tight.
With the help of a friend (or two), place the rack on top of the vehicle. Take extra care to set the rack directly over the mounting holes, you want to avoid the need to move the rack laterally once it is sitting in the sealant.
