Here is a brief video overview and explanation of the relocation: https://youtu.be/esoDuyEK8Y8
Begin by removing the top piece of trim on the rear hatch. Get under the end with a plastic pry tool and pull out. Move down the length of the trim popping each clip with a combination of hands and pry tool.
Remove the trim pieces on either side of the hatch using the same method. Start from the top where there is more space to grab.
Move down to the bottom of the hatch and pop the handle out using a pry tool on the top edge, beginning near the corner.
Pry out on the bottom plastic surrounding the latch to remove it.
Repeat the method for removing the handle on the other side to remove the hatch controls. Be careful to not pull on the wires as they will still be attached. Once the controller is removed, unplug the wires from the back and push them into the hatch.
Pry down on the lower edge of the hatch to pop the clips out. Do this all over the hatch panel until it pops fully out of all clips. Be sure to support it throughout the process so it doesn't fall.
This image shows the location of the clips for reference when removing.
Next, move on to disassembling the passenger side of the cargo area. Begin by rotating the cargo net hook 90 degrees and pulling it out. This will expose a bolt head.
Use a 10mm socket to remove the bolt.
Use a pry tool to pop the cover open on the cargo hook to expose another bolt.
Use a 10mm socket to remove the bolt.
Pop the outer most flooring piece by prying up from underneath with a plastic pry tool.
Remove the grab handle using a 10mm socket. To expose the bolts, pry out from the top edge of each cover. The other side has a plastic hinge so do not pry there or it could break.
Pry out on the lower and upper plastic sections together, starting at the rear edge where they meet the hatch. This will only partially free the panel so do not attempt to fully remove it at this time.
Before pulling the panel too far, unplug anything that may be plugged into it such as the cargo area lights.
Separate the upper panel from the lower panel if that has not happened already. It can be made easier by reaching the inside and pushing down on on the tabs on the clips holding them together while pulling them apart.
Separate the upper section from the lower section and fully remove it from the vehicle. Make sure that all clips have come out with it. If not, use a pry tool to remove them from the body of the vehicle and reinstall them into the plastic.
Remove the lower trim. Begin at the outer edge with a pry tool and pull up. Move towards the other side each time more clips are released.
Use a 10mm socket to remove the bolt inside of the cargo cover retaining cavity. To expose the bolt, use a thin pry tool in the notch in the cover to remove the cover.
Go into the rear door and remove the step panel. Pry up on the panel from the back edge. While up there, remove the lower seatbelt bolt using a 14mm socket.
