Step by step on how to install the Transmission & Catalytic Converter Skid on the 100 Series Land Cruiser / Lexus LX470!

Included Parts: (1) transmission & catalytic converter (mid) skid plate.
Note: this skid installs behind the V100SD-GN engine skid, which must be installed first.
Included Hardware: 046-0117 bolt pack.
Tools: 5/16" hex bit, 3/4" socket, step drill and 7/16" drill bit.
The narrower end of the skid with two mounting slots is the front. Raise the skid up and slide the front over the top of the rear of the engine skid.

Align the mounting slots and use the same 1/2" button head bolts and serrated flange nuts that hold the rear of the engine skid to capture both the front of this skid and the rear of the engine skid.

The rear of the skid has three mounting slots that line up with three small (about 1/4") holes in the factory transmission cross member. Line the skid up with those holes to confirm where to drill.

Drill the three cross member holes out to 7/16" to accept the 1/2" self-threading bolts. Start with a step drill, then finish with a full size 7/16" drill bit.

Run the 1/2" self-threading bolts into the three drilled holes with a 3/4" socket.

Tighten all of the rear bolts, then go back to the front edge of the skid and tighten that mounting hardware as well. (If you are also installing the transfer case skid, leave the rear bolts out so it can slide in over this skid.)
