***This product uses a universal hardware pack. Some of the included hardware will not be used during this installation.
This document shows the process for installing the full rack. The steps are the same for installing the short rack with the exception of not needing the information about the front mounts or cutting the trim. The unneeded steps will be marked with red text.
Leave the first tool in place to keep the clip from reengaging. Insert a second trim tool under the lower edge at the location outlined in blue, then pry outward until the second clip releases.
For the Rack Assembly:
Lay both black side rails parallel on a protected work surface, place the accent plates on top of the black side rails as shown.
Attach each accent plate using the black 1/4”-20 x 3/4” button head bolts, 1/4”-20 serrated flange nuts, and black 1/4” washers. Install the hardware through the five mounting holes circled in red on each side rail.
Leave the hardware slightly loose for now so the rails can be adjusted during the remaining rack assembly.
Install the rear fairing using the same hardware. Use two of each on both sides.
Before tightening, slide each fairing upward as far as the mounting slots allow to prevent contact with the vehicle’s roof. Then tighten all hardware.
Skip this step when installing the Short Rack.
Add a small amount of RTV directly over each hole before loosely installing the supplied M8 25 mm bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten the hardware yet.
Loosely attach the rack to each mount using the supplied black 1/4”-20 x 3/4” button head bolts, black 1/4” washers and 1/4”-20 serrated flange nut. Once the rack is supported by all mounts, fully tighten the mid and rear mounts to the roof before the RTV begins to cure. Leave the rack hardware loose for now.
At the front, lift upward on the rack while pressing the front mounts firmly against the roof, then tighten the front mount hardware. This keeps the mounts seated securely and helps prevent movement.
Steps 22-25 are optional:
Apply clear paint protection film anywhere the fairing edge trim contacts the roof. This helps protect the paint from dirt and debris trapped beneath the trim.
If the front fairing does not sit firmly against the roof, adjust the rack height at the mid or rear mounts. The rack may also need to be tilted slightly forward until the front fairing makes full contact.
